First Pinays Collective of the Quarter!!
Come and join other pinays this Wednesday January 21st, at 6pm in the SAC lounge for the 1st Pinays Collective of Winter Quarter!
The word Pinay is used as an abbreviation of the word Pilipina, a Pilipino woman. Although the definition is quite simple on the surface level, how many women really know what this simple word means? Is this definition uniform for all pinays? Does it correctly label us and help to define our identities?
If you ever wondered what it means to be "pinay," are interested in learning about pinay-related issues, or just want to expose yourself to a different community on campus... Come join this opportunity to educate yourselves and others about the meaning of "Pinay."
Don't forget to bring your friends too! Remember, it's a safe and open space for any and all pinay women on campus...
