- Samahang Pilipino envisions unified students who:
- Explore and celebrate diverse Pilipin@/Pilipin@-American identities and struggles
- Work in coalition with others who understand and align themselves with our communities needs
- Actualize justice and equity through service and action within and beyond our university
MISSION STATEMENT 2009-2010:
- Promotes an open environment in which we can engage one another about our unique social, political, academic and cultural experiences within the Pilipin@/Pilipin@-American community.
- Builds and strengthens community relationships based upon common struggle and/or goals.
- Develops student leaders that will invest to organize, provide services, and advocate for justice and equity in the community, with the community.

Hi Everyone! Just a reminder that tomorrow (Tuesday) is the May Special Election in California. It is important that your voice is heard and that you participate in this week's elections. Amidst the nation's financial crisis, there are 6 PROPOSITIONS on the ballot that could possibly have a heavy fiscal impact on you as a college student, your family, and community. Proposition 1B is especially vital as it will affect (positively/negatively) the public schooling system (including community colleges). Though it is not Samahang Pilipino's duty to tell you what to vote, the message is clear: be informed take advantage of the right to vote.
